The famous garlicky Greek yoghurt dip.
Ingredients
1/2 of a large cucumber, unpeeled |
200 (1 cup) gr plain full-fat Greek yogurt |
1 -2 large garlic cloves, finely minced (depends on how garlicky you want it) |
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil |
1 -2 tsp white vinegar |
1/2 – 1 teaspoon salt |
1 tbsp dill or mint, finely chopped |
Instructions
- Grate the cucumber, salt it and drain through a fine mesh sieve for 15 minute
- Squeeze the cucumber very well until there is almost no water left
- In a bowl combine the yogurt, garlic, oil, dill and vinegar and add the cucumber
- Taste and add salt if needed
- Serve with pita bread
